Students in Professor Douglas Northrop’s History 329 course, Understanding Afghanistan, worked in teams to analyze and present a historical topic for a wider public audience using ArcGIS StoryMaps and Google Sites. These final projects served in lieu of a standard term paper or exam and spurred the students to carry out original research connected to the themes of the class. Read more about Professor Northrop’s approach in the article “From Term Papers to Websites.” Follow links below to view project pages.
