
Students in Professor Douglas Northrop’s History 196 and 215 courses, Catastrophe: The History of Disaster, analyzed and presented a historical topic for a wider public audience using ArcGIS StoryMaps. These final projects served in lieu of a standard term paper or exam and spurred the students to carry out original research connected to the themes of the class.
