Living and Dying in Late-Medieval London

In this U-M HistoryLabs project, students learned to transcribe fifteenth-century wills from the London Metropolitan Archive’s digitized collection of Commissary Court wills. They documented their results in a StoryMaps exhibit that explores life in late-medieval London. Students and principal investigator Professor Katherine French collaborated on this HistoryLab course offered by the University of Michigan’s History Department in Fall 2021.
