
Students in Professor Douglas Northrop’s History course, Russia and Its Easts (History 230 in Spring 2019; History 196 in Fall 2022), worked in teams to analyze and present a historical topic for a wider public audience using ArcGIS StoryMaps. Their final projects served in lieu of a standard term paper or exam and spurred the students to carry out original research connected to the themes of the class.
