The ACWWS’ Digital Archive serves as an open-access collection preserving the institutional memory of the Association of Caribbean Women Writers and Scholars (ACWWS) and showcasing the influence of cross-cultural connections among Caribbean scholars, writers, and artists. In a field where support for women’s writing in the Caribbean has historically been lacking, the archive demonstrates the importance of ACWWS in fostering Caribbean women’s literary scholarship and communities. By gathering archival materials and testimonies, the archive tells the story of Caribbean women writers and scholars overcoming challenges to contribute to the profession. The collection includes conference materials and newsletters, highlighting the coming together of Caribbean women writers and scholars from diverse backgrounds. Through this, ACWWS’s impact on Caribbean literary studies and regionalism becomes evident, emphasizing the region’s creative synergy within a global context.
