Road to Hybridabad

An interactive robot sculpture with “Scheherazade AI”, trained on contemporary immigrant narratives and traditional folktales. As you approach the robot its face turns to you, and it will tell you one of its stories.

The “Scheherazade AI” robot is part of a larger exhibit by Osman Khan at MASSMoCA in 2024 that is a “. . .journey across borders, through time, and between legend and history, encouraging reconsideration and rewriting of narratives around identity, difference, and power reflected in the tales we tell ourselves” (MASSMoCA press release).
