It highlights three themes\u2014military experiences,&nbsp;homefront activities,&nbsp;and&nbsp;opposition&nbsp;to the war\u2014and focuses on the wartime experiences of students, faculty, alumni, and the broader citizenry of Ann Arbor and the state of Michigan.&nbsp;The debates, activism, and mobilization that occurred on campus represented a microcosm of national attitudes that played out simultaneously across the United States.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe University of Michigan and the Great War\u201d is part of Michigan in the World (MITW), a paid undergraduate internship program where students develop online public exhibitions about the history of the University of Michigan and its relationships with the wider world. MITW is coordinated by the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/lsa.umich.edu\/history\/\" target=\"_blank\">U-M History Department<\/a>&nbsp;in partnership with the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/bentley.umich.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bentley Historical Library<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/lsa.umich.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">College of Literature, Science, and the Arts<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"project-team\">Project Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bentley&nbsp;Michigan in the World Fellows<\/strong>: William Cowell, Chiara Kalogjera-Sackellares, Erin McGlashen, Helena Ratte, Christopher  White<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Faculty Coordinator:<\/strong> Melanie S.
